Today a 260FT waterslide was constructed in Dublin City Centre on Winetavern Street (near Christchurch Cathedral). This two lane inflatable slide (5mt wide)  ran from the arch of the Cathedral down to the base of the hill and will gave listeners to 98fm the chance to travel through Christchurch like never before!


Lord Mayor of Dublin, Brendan Carr and his son Jason are seen at the 98fm Big Slide Home with HB Ice Cream and Dublin City Council.

HB Ice Cream were on site handing out free ice creams to cool down sliders.

Speaking about the Big Slide Home event, Lord Mayor of Dublin Brendan Carr said "Dublin City Council is delighted to be supporting this FREE family friendly event. It is the first time that the Waterslide attraction has come to Dublin city and I hope that Dubliners and visitors to the city will really enjoy this great summer event."

 In anticipation of the event Dara Quilty said

 "I am so excited to be launching this event this summer. Dublin has been screaming out for an event like this for years so I'm so glad 98FM are doing it. The slide is going to be incredible and it will be an amazing experience. I hope everyone tunes in and gets their wristbands".
